Accomplishment #1: Being promoted from shelver to associate librarian at the Salt Lake City Public Library (Utah, USA). Accomplishment #2: Actually starting to write my novel. Accomplishment #3: Starting to work out regularly and eat more sensibly. This exercise was interesting, because I immediately thought of the first and second achievements, and then had to sit and think for a while to come up with a third. I do tend to dwell on failures (perceived or actual) at the expense of my successes. I should make a habit of recalling things that go well or that I do well to outweigh that tendency. This is my first time on your blog, Pete, and this is the first entry I’ve even read, but I accept your invitation.

This time last year, I had no idea what <em><strong>ftp</strong>, <strong>autoresponders</strong> </em>and <em><strong>RSS</strong></em> were - and I'd couldn't imagine <em><strong>having</strong></em> let alone <em><strong>managing</strong></em> a website.
