<p>Let&#8217;s start again. I love books. My good mate, Troy at <a href="http://troyworman.com/wordpress/2007/11/08/worth-playing/">Orbit Now</a> has challenged me to answer the following questions about books, so here we go:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>How many books do you own?</strong> 800 &#8230; ish.</li>
<li><strong>What was the last book you read?</strong> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.booktopia.com.au/the-last-explorer-hubert-wilkins-australia-s-unknown-hero/prod9780733622427.html"><em>The Last Explorer: Hubert Wilkins, Australia&#8217;s Unknown Hero</em> </a> </li>
<li><strong>What was the last book you purchased?</strong> <em><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Betrayal-Star-Wars-Legacy-Force/dp/0345477340">Star Wars: Betrayal</a></em> (why are you laughing?)</li>
<li><strong>What five books are most meaningful to you?</strong> <em>The Bible</em>, <em><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Fifth-Discipline-Practice-Learning-Organization/dp/0385517254">The Fifth Discipline</a></em>, <em><a href="http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/">The Five Love Languages</a></em> (sounds like a soppy love story, it isn&#8217;t, it&#8217;s more like Relationships 101), <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.ransomedheart.com/RH_Ministries_Store/detail.aspx?ID=159">The Way of the Wild Heart</a></em>, and <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Hiding-Place-Corrie-Ten-Boom/dp/0553256696"><em>The Hiding Place</em></a> (one of those books that will always &#8211; in every printing &#8211; have a dorky cover, but the dorkkiness hides a gripping and moving true WW2 story).</li>
<li><strong>What is your most obscure favorite book?</strong> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Liege-Killer-Paratwa-Saga-Book-1/dp/0812530756">Liege Killer</a> (it&#8217;s 1980s sci-fi but I read it for the 4th time recetnly and it still works. The main thing I like about it is that it was innovative and original).</li>
</ol>
<p> I now tag the following people to answer the same questions, if they&#8217;d like:</p>
<ol>
<li>Young entrepreneur <a href="http://www.matnewton.com/">Mat Newton</a></li>
<li>Joe @ <a target="_blank" href="http://www.fatheredfive.com/">Fathered Five</a></li>
<li>Bill @ <a href="http://bgathen.wordpress.com/">Make It a Double</a></li>
<li>Kerry @ <a target="_blank" href="http://anaspiringauthor.blogspot.com/">Aspiring Author</a></li>
<li>Songwriter Warren @ <a href="http://warjianrumoelliu.wordpress.com/">Waking Up</a></li>
</ol>

<p>It&#8217;s been fine ever since. I was amazingly calm under the circumstances, though I had the normal visions of being without it for weeks while technicians sat it on their workbench, drank coffee and did anything but fix it for me.</p>
<p>Maybe I&#8217;m actually getting better at handling the unexpected, or maybe the cartoon below is closer to the truth.</p>
<p><img class="comic" alt="A Sign From Above" src="http://blaugh.com/cartoons/060915_a_sign_from_god.gif" width="447" /></p>
<p>I <em>did</em> go for a walk and do some chores and everything <em>did</em> return to normal after that. Hmmmmmm&#8230;..</p>
<p><a href="http://blaugh.com/2006/09/15/a-sign-from-above/" rel="bookmark" /><a href="http://blaugh.com/2006/09/15/a-sign-from-above/" rel="bookmark"></p>
